Spreading Breast Cancer Awareness with National Denim Day

Spreading Breast Cancer AwarenessDuring the month of October, the world seems to get a little pinker – and for good reason! Pink symbolizes awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month! During October, there are a variety of ways in which you can show your support for the moment and spread awareness yourself.

In spreading breast cancer awareness, the Perry & Carroll team participates in Lee National Denim Day on October 3rd, 2014. This impressive movement began in 1996, and has raised more than $91 million since then for breast cancer research, programs, and services. On October 3rd, your donation of $5 allows you to wear jeans to work as you are spreading awareness. All money raised goes towards the American Cancer Society, allowing them to continue researching and providing services for those affected by breast cancer. If you have an appointment with us on October 3rd, you can expect to see us sporting our favorite denims to support the movement!

Wearing denim on one day during the month of October is not enough however. There are a variety of ways in which you can spread awareness, including:

  • Sport the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon wherever you go! Your plain black blazer will look great all month long with a Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon pin on it! Your ribbon will likely stir interest and conversation about breast cancer as well.
  • Your boss may be open to having a small seminar on the importance of breast cancer awareness. Ask if you can begin the company meeting with a little speech about breast cancer awareness.
  • Bake pink cookies, muffins, and cupcakes to promote Pink October!

We recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and hope you participate with us in 2014 Lee National Denim Day on October 3rdContact Perry & Carroll for all of your insurance needs.
