The recipient for July’s “Jeans for Generosity” will be Holden’s Hero’s, a scholarship fund set up in memory of his Dad, Matt Miller, who recently died tragically when he was hit by a car while cycling. Matt was an Elmira native who graduated, with employee Kim Eveland, from Elmira Free Academy and was an amazing human being. Thanks to Mary Minotti for this suggestion! August Jeans for Generosity donations will go to Krissy Stoner’s team who is riding in the Tour De Cure for Diabetes 8/16th in Watkins in honor of her Grandma who passed last February.
September’s recipient will be the Amanda Bush Memorial Fund to help the family of the employee of the Simeon’s employee who was tragically killed when a truck drove into the building in Ithaca. Thanks to Pam Coghlan for this candidate!
