- Costume Care: Make sure your kids can comfortably enjoy their evening by adjusting costumes as necessary. Trim those that could present a tripping hazard, cut eye holes large enough in masks so they have full visibility, and choose comfy shoes.
- Eye Engagement: Before you and your kids cross the street, make sure any approaching drivers see you. Always cross at a crosswalk and carry a flashlight with you to make sure you’re visible.
- Candy Caution: Teach your kids that the best candy comes factory wrapped, and that homemade treats from strangers are scary. It’s also a good idea to go through their candy together so you can pick out any pieces that you don’t think are safe to eat.
